Here at GB Willow we work closely with farmers, & landowners bringing both financial and ecological perspectives.
We are always looking for partners.
Free replacement setts, (Salix alba 'Caerulea') Planted after mature trees are felled. GB Willow buy back when the trees are mature. With the sport growing there is a huge increase in demand and the value of cricket bat willow trees.
On arrival at our factory in Catsfield the trees are processed, completely in house then the bat making process can start ensuring the wood is the correct length, weight and graded.
Replanting the trees we fell makes sense both to landowner and cricket bat maker and the environment. Ensuring that GB Willow is setting standards for the future.
If you’ve got a piece of land that’s not ideal for traditional farming due to waterlogging, flooding or springs, there’s a way to make the most of it that’ll generate income. Call us for more information.
Willow is a very absorbant wood making it ideal for growing in moist places near rivers, springs, and wetland. Regular pruning and maintenance of the trees is something some people take for granted, but GB Willow will help with that side of things letting you get on with playing or watching the cricket whilst making a passive income.
Each cricket willow tree is grown in perfect conditions and nurtured for approximately 15 years before being processed into the clefts. Our bats are pressed to the correct weight shape and size on site at our Catsfield factory.
Each cleft is then taken to have the handle shaped and fitted. Shaping the bat is most critical as they are tailored to perfection.
We often find that visiting the factory can give you more knowledge and insight to the bat making process, and to finding your ultimate weapon that will hit boundaries!
Why suffer ? Use our protective equipment to make your game safe and enjoyable, knowing GB Willow have the best protection available.
With the added bonus your bat is also mad by us for you.
